A tribal member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate, Charlotte (Keoke) Almanza began beading at the age of twenty.  With the help of an 11year old girl, Charlotte began with daisy necklaces and continued on with her crafts.  She also sews clothing, for women and men, including ribbon shirts.  In addition to beading and sewing, she paints and carves on gourds.
